Systems Administrator (Remote)

Analytica is seeking a Systems Administrator to support a dynamic federal government project. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing a high level of technical support and vision for implementing and managing hardware, software and network for a high-profile health IT system.

This role will manage computer operations of a large scale, web application across a complex network infrastructure and a variety of hardware and software platforms. Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Using an assortment of tools and methods to analyze, monitor, and ensure computer system resources are used in an efficient and cost effective manner.
  • Coordinating the prevention, identification, recovery, and resolution of production-related issues in a timely manner.
  • Ensuring production availability and processing schedules are met according to Software Licensing Agreements.
  • Providing users with application outputs and providing ad hoc business requests such as data reports, screening reports, cross-system data analyses, and inquiries in a timely manner.
  • Leading coordination of operations staff supporting application infrastructure, service desk support, end users, and communications.
  • Working with stakeholders in conducting focus groups and system pilots.
  • Maintaining effective and positive communication with a variety of stakeholders
  • 3+ years of experience supporting large scale web application and network infrastructure.
  • Bachelor of Science (BS) in computer science, information systems management or similarly related degree.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience administrating electronic file interfaces with external systems and data vendors.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience administering multi-platform servers and operating systems.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience administering relational databases.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience administering communication protocols (such as HTTP)
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience administrating cross system interfaces such as batch processes, cron jobs, API frameworks (SOAP, JSON, etc.).
